Dance Styles and Flamenco dancers
If we asked each of you to name your favorite dance styles we might just get quite a few. That is because there are so many dance styles to choose from. Why there are so many and what are some of these dance styles? We’ll name a few common dance styles as well as to some indicators of dance styles.
Types of Popular Dance Styles
There are many dance styles that many people love learning how to do. Do you want to know what some of those dance styles are that have dance classes almost anywhere you go? Here is a list of a few.
• Ballet
• Jazz
• Hip Hop
• Ballroom
• Tango
• Flamenco
Reasons for Popularity
Not everyone likes the same sort or dance styles and that is okay. While you may be a flamenco dancer and like flamenco dancing, other people may not like flamenco dancing. That is your choice to be a flamenco dancer. The flamenco may entail something that you don’t like or you might not like the flamenco dresses that are required even if others might like the flamenco dresses. You may wonder why someone doesn’t like to dance the same way you do. Again, your style whether it be the flamenco or the tango is your style. That is because different styles are popular and identified a few things. These classifications which might just determine the dance style you prefer consist of:
• Age
• Tempo
• Ethnicity
• What you were raised around
• Easiness to learn.
So, as you see a lot goes into dance styles. Again, it doesn’t matter if you’re a flamenco dancer wearing the flamenco dresses doing the flamenco or a ballerina in a tutu doing ballet. While our culture shapes a lot of what we learn, our own individualism shapes the rest.
