18 May 10 Have a Visit to the Latest [Places of Interest|Attractions} in Singapore

The latest attractions to open in Singapore are the Integrated Resorts (IRs) at Sentosa and Marina Bay. These IRs are basically hotels combined with numerous entertainment venues, shopping malls, restaurants and casinos. In the case of Resorts World Sentosa, it also houses the Universal Studios Singapore, Asia’s first such theme park. The IRs are expected to be done up by 2012.

Resorts World Sentosa (RWS) was the first IR to open in Singapore. Besides having Universal Studios Singapore on site, there will be up to six hotels opening by 2011 as well. There are numerous shopping opportunities at RWS, with a good mix of luxury brands, overseas clothing labels and duty free outlets. As for dining possibilities, there are luxury restaurants, cafes and eateries. You will also find a huge range of dining places within the casino too. There will also be a Marine Life Park Oceanarium opening within the next year. It looks to bring learning to life on the urgent need to take care of our planet’s oceans through its diverse programmes and conservation efforts.

The second IR to open is the Marina Bay Sands. This will be another important landmark for the Marina Bay skyline. Three cascading hotel towers linked by a skypark platform at the top makes for a wonderful inclusion to the city skyline. Besides also having an in-house casino, this IR features anything from luxury labels to celebrity-chef restaurants as well. The newly completed Helix Bridge, an architectural feat that is magnificently lit by night, is a fantastic spot for visitors to take it all in.
