I Picked Up Some Budget Oriented Summer Travel Ideas !
All work and no vacation is not good, even in a recession. I spent some time doing research to see if I can arrange a nice trip while saving money in the process. It seems that there are great travel deals to be found at many of the well-known travel sites if I spend a little time in research.
Basically, in addition to finding the best price for airfare, car rental and hotel, it is important that you to use a travel website that has a reputation for providing a trouble-free vacation. Then I was thinking about where to go where it’s easy to find good prices on air travel or where I can drive my car. I should point out that Southern California might be a great choice.
A lot of vacation ideas are provided at the SoCal Vacation Guru site. It focuses mainly on Orange County and Los Angeles County, but will eventually expand to provide more information on San Diego County and the Inland Empire desert and mountain areas as well. You will find a lot of information and tips at the SoCal Vacation Guru related to the beaches, Universal Studios, Disneyland, shopping, Knott’s Berry Farm and other attractions.
I mentioned above just a couple of the seven major theme parks in Southern California, the complete list being Disneyland, Disney’s California Adventure, Knott’s, Six Flags Magic Mountain, Universal Studios, SeaWorld and Legoland. If you were really energetic you could fit all of those parks into a very busy vacation, but it would not be an inexpensive trip. Also, you might save on airfare and hotel reservations as it looks like the economy has a lot of hotels really wanting our business, unfortunately.
You might also get better deals now for tickets to theme parks, museums and other activities. Rather than flying to your vacation destination, you may find that, even with the crazy behavior of gasoline prices recently, you can save money by driving to Southern California this year.
